NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Fraud Uncovered in Bihar; Multiple Arrests Including Medical Students
During the NEET UG 2026 re-examination in Bihar's Lakhisarai district, authorities arrested around 24 to 30 individuals, including nine alleged impersonators and several medical students from institutions like PMCH and ANMMCH. The arrests also involved 14 biometric company employees suspected of facilitating the fraud. Investigations revealed a possible organised network arranging proxy candidates for large sums, with deals reportedly ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 40 lakh. Police continue probing the extent of the racket and its connections across examination centres.
