Karnataka Man Arrested for Killing Friend and Using Stolen Cash for Ex-Wife

In Karnataka, Shafi allegedly killed his close friend Puttaraju on February 19 to steal Rs 2.5 lakh. Shafi reportedly lured Puttaraju under the pretext of a gold auction, then attacked him near Honnavalli. After the murder, Shafi used the stolen money to buy gifts, including a television, for his estranged second wife. The police identified the victim, traced Shafi's movements, and arrested him in Chintamani. The investigation is ongoing.
