Anchal Mishra, a 25-year-old woman farmer leader and mother of two from Uttar Pradesh's Shravasti district, went missing on February 17. Her body parts, including skull and spine, were recovered from a forest nearly two weeks later. Police arrested Suraj Verma, who allegedly strangled her after she demanded money and threatened to file a complaint. Verma, reportedly in contact with Mishra for months, confessed to the crime. Authorities believe wild animals consumed much of the body.
