Northeast India Authorities Seize Methadone and Methamphetamine in Multiple Drug Operations

In recent operations across Northeast India, law enforcement agencies seized various illegal drugs and arrested suspects. In Manipur, the Anti-Narcotic Task Force arrested a man with 84.57 grams of methadone, marking the state's first such seizure in 2026. Another Manipur operation recovered 54 grams of methamphetamine tablets, with the suspects fleeing. In Aizawl, Assam Rifles seized 9.8 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth Rs 29.4 crore and arrested a man. These actions reflect ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
