Dhaka police claim two primary suspects in the murder of Sharif Osman Hadi, Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir Sheikh, have fled Bangladesh and entered India via the Haluaghat border into Meghalaya, reportedly with local assistance. Police stated they are coordinating with Indian authorities for their extradition. However, Meghalaya police have reportedly denied any communication or arrests related to this matter, contradicting Dhaka police's informal reports of local facilitators being detained by Indian agencies.
