Islamic State-linked rebels from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) killed at least 15 people in multiple overnight attacks in eastern Congo's North Kivu province. The victims, including civilians and two soldiers, were killed with bladed weapons and through gunfire in villages like Kilonge and Maendeleo. Local officials reported homes were also burned, and security forces are pursuing the militants. This violence is distinct from the conflict involving M23 rebels.
