Actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee died by drowning on March 29 at Talsari beach while shooting a TV serial. The autopsy confirmed suffocation due to salt water and sand in his lungs. Reports indicate the shoot lacked proper permissions and safety measures. Following family concerns and industry demands, West Bengal's CID, directed by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, has taken over the investigation. Odisha has also formed an SIT, and authorities plan to enhance coastal safety measures.
