
Bengaluru City Police arrested 16 individuals, including two women and eight from other states, for drug peddling, seizing narcotics worth Rs 5.24 crore. The haul included MDMA pills and crystals, ganja, and hydro ganja. The accused admitted sourcing drugs from foreign nationals and out-of-state suppliers, targeting local consumers such as college students. Concurrently, nine foreign nationals overstaying visas were detained during related operations. Investigations to trace suppliers are ongoing.
