A court in Dakshina Kannada has further adjourned the Dharmasthala case to January 3, 2026. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) filed a report against several individuals, including activists, for perjury and other offenses related to a false complaint about mass burials. The SIT alleges the complaint was made under pressure. The court is set to decide on taking cognizance of this report. Applications for release by some accused were rejected.
