Following the March 4 clash in Uttam Nagar that resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man, Delhi Police have taken legal action against social media accounts spreading misleading and inflammatory content. A viral video requesting financial donations linked to the incident led to nearly Rs 37 lakh being deposited into a suspect account, which has since been frozen. Police have issued multiple takedown requests to platforms like X and Instagram and warned that circulating false information is punishable under law. Several individuals connected to the case have been arrested, and police maintain control in the area.
