Two separate firing incidents occurred in Chandigarh late Thursday night and early Friday morning. In Sector 32, two unidentified men on a scooter fired shots outside a chemist shop, causing panic but no injuries; police recovered an empty shell and are investigating motives, including possible personal enmity. Hours later, around 2:30 am in Sector 21, gunmen fired five to six rounds at builder Ankit Sidana's residence, leaving bullet marks and handwritten slips naming gangsters Pawan Shokeen and Mohabbat Randhawa. Sidana, under Punjab Police protection due to past threats, was unaware of the attack until morning. Police are examining CCTV footage and investigating both cases.
