A 14-year-old male tiger, identified as WL 48, suspected of killing a 65-year-old tribal man in Kerala's Wayanad on December 20, has been captured. Forest officials confirmed the tiger's involvement through stripe pattern matching. The animal is reportedly weak and unable to hunt, leading it to stray into human settlements. Due to its age and history of human conflict, the tiger will not be released back into the wild and will be moved to a rehabilitation center for permanent observation.
