
A 37-year-old Russian national, Aleksei Leonov, was arrested in North Goa for allegedly killing two Russian women, Elena Vaneeva and Elena Kasthanova, on January 14 and 15 in Morjim and Arambol villages. Both victims were found with their throats slit, and Leonov reportedly tied one victim before killing her. During interrogation, Leonov claimed responsibility for additional murders, including a 40-year-old woman from Assam, which police are investigating. Authorities continue probing motives and verifying his statements amid ongoing investigations.
