Police in Ghaziabad claim a retired Indian Air Force officer, Yogesh Kumar (58), was murdered on December 26 by contract killers hired by his sons. The motive, according to authorities, was greed for property after the victim asked his sons to vacate his house. One alleged shooter, Arvind, a neighbor, has been arrested and confessed to firing the shots with his brother-in-law, Naveen, a UP police constable. Both Naveen and the victim's two sons remain absconding as investigations continue.
