In Chomu, Rajasthan, violence erupted early Friday when police attempted to remove iron railings encroaching on a road outside a mosque. This action followed an agreement for community members to remove stones previously placed on the road. Protesters allegedly pelted stones at police, injuring four to six officers. Authorities responded with tear gas, mild force, and a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. Over 100 people were detained, and internet services were suspended for 24 hours as a precautionary measure. The situation is reported as under control with heavy police presence.
