IIT Kanpur Develops Pilot Adaptive Aptitude Test for JEE Advanced 2026

IIT Kanpur has developed a pilot set of aptitude-based questions to trial a new adaptive testing format for the JEE Advanced exam, aiming to assess reasoning and conceptual understanding over rote learning. With IIT Roorkee's approval, which is organizing the 2026 exam, the pilot may be conducted around JEE Advanced 2026. The exam will continue to include two mandatory papers covering core subjects, serving as the gateway to various IIT undergraduate programmes.
