The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), in coordination with the Delhi Police Crime Branch, seized approximately 32,000 pirated NCERT textbooks during a raid at an illegal printing facility in Village Jawli, Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Authorities also recovered printing machines, plates, paper rolls, and ink, indicating large-scale unauthorised production. The operation followed an earlier FIR filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Copyright Act, 1957. NCERT warned that piracy harms students by spreading substandard content and urged the public to buy textbooks only from authorised sources and report piracy cases.
