Kerala has revised its K-TET guidelines for teacher appointments and promotions following Supreme Court rulings mandating eligibility tests. New norms withdraw exemptions for higher qualifications like NET and PhD, requiring all candidates to pass relevant K-TET categories. K-TET Category I or II is needed for LP/UP posts, Category III for High School, and both III and IV for High School language teachers. Existing CTET exemptions for LP/UP posts remain valid. Promotions for Headmasters and HSST posts now require K-TET Category III.
