This decision follows appeals by medical colleges against earlier rejections by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board. The NMC's First Appeal Committee reviewed these challenges, leading to the sanctioning of new seats across various disciplines and states. The NMC has instructed counselling authorities to proceed with admissions without waiting for formal Letters of Permission, aiming to expedite the process.
