VELS Institute Honors Leading Indian Scientists on National Science Day 2026

On National Science Day 2026, VELS Institute of Science, Technology Advanced Studies (VISTAS) in Chennai hosted the VELS National Scitech Awards to honor eminent scientists for their contributions to fields including innovation, coastal sustainability, marine research, chemistry, and traditional medicine. Dr. Preethaa Ganesh, Vice-President of VELS, highlighted the institution's research ecosystem, industry collaborations, and efforts to promote research commercialization and women-led entrepreneurship. The event commemorated the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman.
