The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will conduct a Foundational Learning Study (FLS) for Class 3 students in Delhi during February-March 2026. This diagnostic survey aims to assess and strengthen basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills acquired by the end of the foundational stage. The collaborative initiative with the Delhi SCERT is not an examination but a tool to inform policy and improve classroom practices by identifying learning gaps. Sample assessment tasks have been shared to prepare teachers and students.
