NEET Aspirant with Serious Injuries Takes Re-Exam with Minister's Support in Kolkata
Shrishti Dubey, a NEET-UG 2026 aspirant from Kolkata, appeared for the re-examination despite suffering nine fractured ribs and severe lung injuries from a road accident on June 14. After major vascular surgery and artificial ventilation, she was provided a separate room, medical support, and a standby ambulance at her exam centre following intervention by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Her family expressed gratitude for the coordinated efforts of the minister, National Testing Agency, and medical staff to facilitate her participation.
