CBSE Resumes Class 10 and 12 Exams; Middle East Centres Postponed Amid Regional Tensions

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) resumed Class 10 and 12 board exams on March 5, 2026, after a two-day break. Exams for certain languages and Class 12 Psychology were held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. However, due to escalating regional tensions involving attacks and retaliations in Iran, CBSE postponed exams scheduled for March 5 and 6 in several Middle East countries, citing student safety. The board will review the situation for exams from March 7 onwards. Over 43 lakh students are appearing across more than 15,000 centres nationwide and abroad. Results for Class 10 are expected around May 11, following past trends.
