Tamil Nadu Class 12 Board Exams Begin with Over 8 Lakh Students Across State

The Tamil Nadu Class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2025-26 began on March 2, with over 8.27 lakh students appearing across 3,412 centres statewide. Exams will run until March 26, including regular, private, and arrear candidates, with 281 prison inmates also participating. Authorities have deployed over 49,000 teachers and 4,900 flying squads to ensure smooth conduct. The State Education Minister inspected an exam centre, and results are expected by May 8.
