Sumeet Mehta, inspired by his father's teaching methods and a desire for educational equity, founded LEAD Group with his wife Smita Deorah. After a corporate career, Mehta returned to India, observing disparities in educational opportunities between urban and rural students. This led to the establishment of a school near Ahmedabad in 2012, aiming to simplify and equalize learning through technology and effective teaching practices, addressing a perceived 'trust deficit' in educational delivery.
