Alumni from Jadavpur University's civil engineering batches of 1999 and 2000 have collectively donated Rs 36.7 lakh to establish a development fund for the department. The contributions, totaling Rs 23.2 lakh from the 1999 batch and Rs 13.5 lakh from the 2000 batch, have funded a new computational geomechanics laboratory with advanced software and three smart classrooms for postgraduate students. The department expressed gratitude for this support, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence and future generations.
