The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is preparing to implement the Right to Education (RTE) Act's mandate for 25 percent free admissions in private schools. Meetings are being held with over 200 private schools to determine seat allocations, with new schools being added to the process. The BMC is also establishing 82 help centers across Mumbai to assist parents with admissions, which are expected to begin after a state circular arrives in January.
