The state primary education board will video-record all teacher interviews and aptitude tests for primary school positions to ensure transparency in the selection process. This initiative aims to provide evidence and prevent future allegations of irregularities, following past recruitment delays. The first phase of interviews for English-medium sections is scheduled for January 30, with subsequent rounds for Bengali-medium sections also to be recorded. This process follows a recent Calcutta High Court decision that protected the jobs of 32,000 primary teachers.
