
Hoshiarpur teacher Narinder Arora has been recognized with a State Award for transforming Government Elementary School in Jhans. The school, once facing closure with 13 students, now has 402 students. Arora's efforts include introducing a nursery wing and dual-medium instruction. He recently participated in a Punjab Government-sponsored training in Finland, observing its education system. A new "School of Happiness" building is under construction, supported by village land contributions and community committees.
