West Bengal HS Council to Expand Career Counselling After Secondary Exams

The West Bengal Higher Secondary Council plans to introduce expanded career counselling for students after the Madhyamik (secondary) examination to help them make informed academic choices beyond science, including humanities. Currently, counselling focuses on science post-Madhyamik and Joint Entrance Examination preparation after higher secondary. The council aims to implement this broader programme this year. Additionally, it will address issues from the new semester system, such as textbook delays, to improve student support.
