CBSE Opens SARAS 7.0 Portal for 2027-28 School Affiliations with Updated Rules

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) launched the SARAS 7.0 online portal on February 26, 2026, for schools to apply for various affiliations for the 2027-28 academic session. The application window for key categories, including fresh affiliations up to Senior Secondary level and syllabus approvals, will remain open until July 31, 2026. New built-up area rules link maximum sections to certified area size. Physical inspections will follow fresh affiliations and upgradations, with certain application types accessible year-round.
