The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) will introduce an improvement examination for Class 12 students for the first time, allowing candidates to retake one subject to enhance their scores. This move, benefiting around 25 lakh students, follows in-principle government approval and aligns UP Board policies with national boards like CBSE and CISCE. Applications will open after Intermediate results, expected by April-end. The improvement exam differs from the existing compartment system, which is for students who fail a subject.
