The Allahabad High Court has directed the Consortium of National Law Universities to revise the CLAT UG 2026 merit list following a petition challenging the evaluation of a disputed logical reasoning question. The court found that the Oversight Committee had overruled the Expert Committee without justification, ordering both 'B' and 'D' options to be treated as correct for question 9. While admissions from the first counselling round remain unaffected, future counselling will proceed based on the revised merit list. The Consortium has postponed the third merit list release and plans to appeal the decision.
