West Bengal HS Council to Launch Contemporary Project-Based Subjects Next Academic Year

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will introduce contemporary, project-based subjects from the next academic session to enhance student engagement and align education with emerging fields. Existing subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security will be offered as Council Assisted Courses with regular online classes. New subjects including Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property Rights, Indology, and Sustainable Development will be taught under Council Taught Courses, primarily online. Schools can apply to offer these courses, which aim to modernize the curriculum and equip students with relevant interdisciplinary skills.
