
Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda announced plans to launch 'CM Shri Schools' modeled after the centrally sponsored 'PM Shri Schools' scheme, which began in September 2022. These new schools will follow the CBSE curriculum and aim to embody the National Education Policy-2020's principles. Additionally, the state has reserved 25% of seats in private schools for Economically Weaker Sections and Disadvantaged Groups under the Right to Education Act, with income eligibility capped at Rs 1.80 lakh annually.
