
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) will make vocational education compulsory for students in Classes 9 and 11 starting from the 2026 academic session. Curricula for trades such as information technology, electronics, apparel, and beauty and wellness have been developed by subject experts under official guidance. The courses emphasize practical, skill-based training aligned with industry needs to enhance employability, supporting the National Education Policy's goals. Further vocational curricula are being prepared.
