The Indian government has significantly eased norms for establishing Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to accelerate skilling initiatives. The approval timeline for new ITIs has been halved to approximately 6.5 months, with reduced documentation and a streamlined two-stage application process. Entry barriers like minimum land requirements have also been lowered. These changes aim to improve the efficiency, transparency, and industry alignment of vocational training across the country, addressing previous delays and limitations.
