
The Indian Institutes of Management Mumbai and Calcutta concluded their 2026 placement seasons with strong outcomes. IIM Mumbai reported a record highest domestic package of ₹71.4 lakh and an average salary of ₹47.5 lakh for its 502 placed students, with consulting as the largest recruiting sector. IIM Calcutta recorded 100% placements for 458 students, with a highest domestic offer of ₹145 lakh and an average salary of ₹36 lakh. Both institutes saw increased participation from new recruiters and diverse roles across sectors.
