
An international conference on sustainable agricultural innovations opened at the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) in Raichur, coordinated by the National Agricultural Development Cooperative Limited. Experts emphasized the need for universities and scientists to collaborate to address farmers' challenges, including those from natural disasters and market fluctuations. Discussions also focused on reducing the annual food waste of ₹1.3 lakh crore. UAS Raichur highlighted its contributions, including seed production, pest management, and obtaining 14 patents, with plans for a value-added park for grain growers.
