
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will make vocational education mandatory for students in Classes 9 and 11 starting from the 2026 academic session. The curricula, approved by subject committees and developed with support from the Central Institute of Vocational Education, cover trades such as information technology, electronics, apparel, and beauty and wellness. This initiative aims to enhance employability by integrating practical, skill-based content aligned with industry needs and the National Education Policy's objectives. Development of additional vocational courses is ongoing.
