President of India Visits Manipal Tata Medical College in Jamshedpur

The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, recently visited Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, highlighting progress in medical education and healthcare infrastructure. The visit included a sapling plantation and group photographs with faculty and students. The Vice Chancellor noted the 2019 policy enabling the first Private Consortium medical college, with Tata Steel’s hospital serving as the teaching facility. The first MBBS batch started in 2020-21 and will graduate in 2026.
