
The 15th convocation of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) in Bidar awarded degrees to 576 graduates, including undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral students, with 34 receiving gold medals. Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot, presiding over the event, highlighted animal husbandry's vital role in rural economic development and urged continued research on animal health. The university is expanding with a new veterinary college at Puttur and supports farmers through research centers and government schemes.
