Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in Ludhiana has maintained its leading position among state agricultural universities, ranking first in NIRF for the third consecutive year and second nationally in IIRF. PAU also achieved 93rd globally in EduRank's agricultural sciences ranking. The university received a Rs 20-crore grant from the Punjab Government, funding infrastructure upgrades like an Agro-Processing Complex and a Plant Acclimatisation Facility. PAU also developed new technologies, including a portable maize dryer and a safer rodent control bait.
