Himachal Pradesh Plans NEP Implementation and Faster Exam Results in Colleges

Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur has directed the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in government degree colleges affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University and Sardar Patel University. NEP-aligned programmes, including three-year undergraduate, four-year honours with research, and five-year integrated bachelor's-master's courses, are planned from the 2026-27 session. The minister emphasized adopting modern evaluation methods to declare exam results within 30 days, filling 389 teaching posts, introducing an internal college ranking system, and granting greater autonomy to colleges.
