Canada and India Announce 13 University Partnerships Including New AI Centre

During a visit to India, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced 13 new agreements between Canadian and Indian universities focusing on joint research, hybrid campuses, and AI centres of excellence. These partnerships aim to enhance academic cooperation and provide international exposure for students. McGill University plans to launch a Centre of Excellence in AI Education and Research in India by May 2027, starting with 50 students and expanding over time.
