UPSC Releases Civil Services Exam 2026 Notification with Revised Eligibility and 933 Vacancies

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 notification, announcing 933 vacancies, a decrease from previous years. Applications are open until February 24, with prelims scheduled for May 24 and mains starting August 21. Revised rules restrict candidates already appointed to the IAS or IFS from appearing in CSE 2026 at any stage unless they resign. IPS officers cannot reselect IPS but may apply for other services. A one-time improvement attempt is allowed for selectees of 2026.
