Delhi University has increased its institution-level fees by over 17% within six months for the 2026-27 academic session, raising its share from Rs 3,500 to Rs 4,100. This exceeds the university's usual policy of a 10% annual hike, citing rising operational costs and inflation. The revised fee structure includes increases in the University Development Fund, facilities and services charges, and contributions to the Economically Weaker Sections and Student Welfare Funds. Over four years, these fees have more than doubled.
