Banaras Hindu University's Faculty of Arts has received a significant €780,000 (approximately 8 crore) Erasmus Capacity Building in Higher Education grant from the European Union. This three-year grant, from November 2025 to October 2028, is the largest Erasmus funding the university has secured to date. The project, 'SacredTravels4Growth,' involves 16 partner institutions from eight countries and aims to enhance higher education in religious tourism, cultural heritage, and sustainable development by sharing European best practices.
