Actor Arshad Warsi shared that his Catholic in-laws were initially worried about his marriage to their daughter, Maria Goretti, due to his Muslim faith and perceived lack of a stable job. He explained their concerns stemmed from expectations of Maria marrying a Catholic man with a conventional career. However, Warsi stated that his in-laws now live with him and are very happy, having gained confidence in him as a person who would care for their daughter. The couple married in 1996 and have two children.
