She uses her powers to stop the convergence, severing Vecna's connection to missing children. This action allows the Hawkins group to enter the Demogorgon's world, where Max communicates with the children. Kali also plays a role, saving the children and revealing Vecna's true nature as he invades Eleven's mind.
